Ingredients for this edible playdough recipe:
- flour – 1 cup
- water – 1 cup
- sugar – 0.5 cup
- vegetable oil – 1 tsp
- cream of tartar – 3 tsp
- 1 package of Jello Mix
Directions for this edible playdough recipe:
- Add all the dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl
- Mix them together until consistent
- Add the water and the oil
- Mix and then pour into a pan over medium heat
- Cook until mixture becomes doughy
- Let cool on wax paper
- Knead in some extra flour for texture
- Read to go!
This recipe for playdough will be a kid favorite and it is very easy to make. The playdough will be the same color and flavor as the Jello you use. You can mix Jello flavors or create several different batches to have some variety and color in your edible creations. Is it 1/2 cup of salt?
I made this recipe exactly as stated. It turned out awesome except for 1 thing. Using the 1/2 cup of salt as stated made it so salty that it was disgusting. Am going to try it with 1/2 cup of sugar instead.
